What is the function of LCD Polarizer?

Polarizer is an important part of LCD screen. With the emergence of special full matching technology, polarizers are more and more widely used in LCD. What role does polarizer play in LCD?

Polarizer is widely used in LCD industry, and LCD needs to use polarizer. Polarizer and liquid crystal play an important role in development. In the production process, two pieces of ordinary tempered glass are printed on the circuit, and then glued together and folded. Then the liquid crystal is injected into the middle of the two sides of the glass, and the polarizer is pasted on the top and bottom of the glass.

The upper and lower glass should be pasted with polarizer, but pay attention to the direction. If the lower polarizer filters the x-direction light, the upper polarizer can only filter the y-direction light. If the upper polarizer filters out the light in the Y direction and the lower polarizer filters out the light in the X direction, the user can see nothing. Although the LCD works normally, the polarizer is not visible to the naked eye. Now the LCD color screen is generally only on the film, not on the film, the product technology innovation.

People who have studied physics should know what polarized light is. The imaging of LCD must rely on polarized light. All liquid crystals have two polarizers close to the liquid crystal glass to form a liquid crystal sheet with a total thickness of about 1 mm. Without polarizer, LCD can’t display image. Therefore, polarizer is the key component of LCD.
