The working principle for the LCD screen panels

How Does An LCD Screen Work? Answering A Liquid Crystal Display Tech Question #LCD #Tech   You can find Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology everywhere: in TVs, computers, tablets, laptops, smartphones, watches, monitors, displays, calculators, cellphones, smartwatches, and many more… but do you know how this awesome tech works? Do you also know that the working principle of LCD is pretty similar to the newer LED backlit based screens (edge LED or direct LED)? So today, we explain how an LCD screen work by looking inside an LCD screen and detailing all of its layers. We will talk about the reflector sheet, the Light Guide Plate (LGP), the Dual Brightness Enhancement Film (DBEF), the diffuser sheet, the prism sheet, the bottom polarizer, the bottom glass substrate (backplane), the Thin Film Transistor (TFT), the Liquid Crystal, the Common electrode, the color filter (RGB), the top glass substrate, the top polarizer, and the top chassis and frame. Understanding how a screen works can be especially handy to know if you like clever technology or to understand if your screen breaks down, and you need to figure out what is going on to repair it… knowledge is power! Screenage Electronics is engaged in the field of design, engineering, production and marketing of Digital Signage solutions to the Indian market since 2018. Our core products are Digital Signage Displays, Digital Menu Board, Interactive Touch Screens, Smart Class Room Solutions, Ultra Stretched Screens, Self Service Kiosks, Video Wall, Outdoor Screens, etc. Screenage has its own production facilities

Advantages of LCD

LCD mainly includes TFT, UFB, TFD, STN and other types of LCD. The structure of LCD is to place liquid crystal in two parallel glasses. There are many vertical and horizontal small wires between the two glasses. The direction of rod crystal molecules is controlled by power on, and the light is refracted to produce a picture.   High brightness, The higher the brightness value of the array LCD, the brighter the picture will be without blurring. Advanced display can display clearer and higher brightness product features. We rely on polarization filters and light itself. With the practice of natural light in all corners of the world, a series of liquid crystal filters must be parallel.   The higher the contrast, the more colorful and saturated the color will be, and the higher the plane will be. On the contrary, the color change is low, the color display is poor, the image will be flattened, and the color change value is different, even higher. Compared with CRT imager, LCD dot matrix LCD display has the advantages of zero radiation, low power consumption, small heat dissipation, small volume, accurate image recovery and high character visualization.   The view of “big view” simply means that the view in front of the screen can be seen the larger the sight distance, the easier it will be; As long as the viewer changes the viewing position slightly, the picture may become blurred.

Which is more advantageous, resistive touch screen or capacitive touch screen?

Capacitive touch screen and resistive touch screen are mainly different in touch sensitivity, precision, cost, multi touch feasibility, anti-damage, cleaning and visual effect in sunlight.   Touch Sensitivity Resistive touch screen: it needs pressure to make all layers of the screen contact. It can be operated with fingers (even with gloves), nails, stylus, etc. Support for stylus is very important in Asian market, gesture and character recognition are valued everywhere. Capacitive touch screen: the slightest touch from the surface of a charged finger can also activate the capacitive sensing system below the screen. Non-living objects, nails and gloves are invalid. Handwriting recognition is difficult.   Accuracy Resistive touch screen: the accuracy is at least a single display pixel, which can be seen when using the stylus. It is easy to recognize handwriting and is helpful to operate in the interface using small control elements. Capacitive touch screen: the theoretical accuracy can reach several pixels, but it is actually limited by the finger contact area. So that it is difficult for users to accurately click the target less than 1cm2.   Cost Resistive touch screen: very cheap. Capacitive touch screen: the price of capacitive screen from different manufacturers is 10% to 50% higher than that of resistive screen. This extra cost doesn’t matter for flagship products, but it may deter mid-priced phones.   The feasibility of multi touch Resistive touch screen: not possible unless the resistive screen is reconstituted and connected to the circuit of the machine. Capacitive touch screen: depending
